“The Painter Who Weaves the Canvas”
Ahmet Yeşil (b. 1954, Mersin) is known for his unique technique that transforms brushstrokes into woven, rope-like textures, creating the impression of fabric on canvas.
Overcoming physical challenges, he has developed a powerful artistic language and held more than 110 solo exhibitions worldwide. His works are featured in major collections, including the Ahmet Ertegün Collection.
The artworks displayed in this exhibition are from the personal collection of Mr. Ali Sami Aydın, Vice Chairman of the Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters’ Association (ITHIB), who kindly made them available for ITFC 2026. We sincerely thank him for his valuable contribution.
